My name is Dr. Cruz, but you can call me Stella. I am a Clinical Psychologist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I've been in practice since 2014. I offer services in English and Spanish. I have extensive experience providing individual and group therapy to adults. In relationships, experiencing mistreatment, neglect, invalidation, rejection, or abandonment can lead to a profound sense of disconnection from ourselves and others. This detachment often leads us to mistakenly identify with this sense of disconnection, causing immense pain and making it challenging to be present with our own emotions. Such experiences can trigger a state of imbalance, characterized by anxiety, or a 'freeze' response accompanied by symptoms similar to depression. These are the effects of trauma—an emotional response to distressing events that leave us feeling powerless.

I work with a variety of clients with many different levels of needs. I feel the additional training I've taken and will continue to take will allow me to assist my clients in meeting through goals.

My mental health practices are rooted in attachment theory, supported by neuroscience research, with a trauma informed focus and a strong belief in the power of relationships. I also offer Integrative approaches to wellness. Utilizing herbal support in addition to a full treatment plan of wholistic options uniquely crafted for each client.

As a warm, heart-centered, holistic therapist, I am deeply interested in accompanying my clients in their journey to health, happiness, and wholeness. In facilitating a safe healing space for adults, we gently explore what emerges in the present moment, letting the session organically unfold. I am welcoming clients who want to step into an authentic, more peaceful, more empowered and expansive place within themselves. I work with those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship turmoil, spiritual or existential issues, grief, life transitions, women's issues, co-dependency, abuse, trauma, or those simply wanting to find deeper contentment in their lives.

Cecilla studied and graduated in psychology in her native country of Peru. After immigrating to the USA, she has earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She has completed AMO academy's required training and evaluation and was awarded the title of Master Hypnotherapist certification. Currently, Cecilla is pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Psychology. She believes in focusing on guiding the client to find the root cause of the mental difficulties and working together to meet desired goals.
