I have over 25 years working in the field of psychology. I believe that the key to most emotional and psychological problems lies in relationships, those in the past and in the present. I believe conscious and unconscious behavior patterns can cause difficulties in life, and these behavior problems can be changed or modified. My approach is eclectic , and I use various modalities within a psychodynamic framework. I am also trained as a trauma specialist and EMDR therapist. I believe trauma can keep people stuck in behaviors and emotional dysfunction and EMDR is a highly effective way of reprocessing "stuck" trauma.

I see the therapeutic relationship itself as the most meaningful and lasting route to healing, growth, and change. I work actively within the relationship to help clients experience emotional safety, trust, and inclusivity. I have a humorous, compassionate, collaborative approach to counseling. I operate from a strengths-based approach; I believe that we all have inner strengths that can be accessed and utilized to guide healing.

Moeller and Associates was founded in 1995. All clinicians have a Masters Degree or PhD in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling along with designated State Licensure and/or Certifications. This team offers expertise in mood disorders, anxiety disorders substance abuse, relationship/marital issues, grief counseling, and workplace issues. Populations served are for children, adolescents, and adults of various multi-national backgrounds. Grief is hard. Dictionary.com defines it as, “keen mental suffering or distress over affliction or loss; sharp sorrow; painful regret.” Grief can overwhelm and change you on a fundamental level. It can become the thing by which you mark time. Before the loss. After the loss. Replaying decisions to see if there is anything you could have done to change the outcome. Maybe you feel traumatized by the images of your loved one’s last moments and you can’t get those thoughts out of your mind.
