Welcome to my practice. I specialize in treating children, adolescents and adults with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, stress-related problems, life transitions, trauma, relationship issues and parenting.

Being a therapist for twenty plus years, it always fascinates me to watch someone overcome their difficulties and find peace and joy in their life. I hope you will allow me to assist you in your journey! I have experience working with individuals, couples and families and have been trained in a wide variety of techniques. I utilize an eclectic approach and the methods are driven by your needs. I have a direct, nurturing approach and feel that a good relationship between us is crucial to the therapeutic process.

Emphasizing an individual's sense of agency and inner strength, I will help provide a safe environment for clients to explore and find what strategies are right for them. I have years of experience in working with the exploration of gender, including working with children, adolescents, and adults who identify as trans* or nonbinary. I have a background in crisis, and other areas of emphasis include depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, and grief/loss. Let me help you find yourself again.

We will work together to find the right approach to meet your goals. Together we will overcome grief, loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I also have a special interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ population.

Do you ever feel like life just keeps happening and you are trying to keep up? That feeling of holding your breathe; preparing yourself for whatever may come next? Situations, transitions, people, our past all can take a toll on both our minds and bodies. To cope; we rationalize away whatever is happening and how we are feeling. As we try to keep pushing forward there is still this doubt; this lingering feeling of either wanting help, wanting things to change or just wanting to feel better. Taking that first step may not be easy; but I am here to support you to make yourself a priority, to make progess for yourself, not perfection.

Life is filled with many opportunities as well as challenges. My goal is to help children and adolescents recognize and seize those opportunities and overcome any challenges and obstacles that get in their way. By helping them create a positive mindset, build effective coping strategies, and expand their repertoire of problem-solving skills, they can live a healthy, satisfying, and successful social and academic life. The earlier these skills are cultivated within the child or adolescent, the greater the opportunities to practice and utilize them to their benefit.

It is my belief that the best work comes from building a strong therapeutic alliance and working together to uncover goals while simultaneously developing a deeper understanding of oneself. It is always my objective to provide a space where clients feel comfortable and open discussing their thoughts and feelings. I use a variety of different strategies while in session and we will work together to find an individual approach best suited for your journey.

I enjoy working with relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety and trauma. I specialize in working with adult survivors of childhood trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma. My ideal client is someone who is ready to gain insight into their experiences, and to work towards personal growth. I will help you feel empowered, and more fulfilled.

Hi! My name is Sarah, I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist and community partner at Healing Reimagined. I've been providing trauma informed counseling in non-profits, sexual violence prevention programs, and long-term mental health & substance abuse treatment for the last 5 years. I primarily work with individuals who are navigating anxiety and life changes, folks who have been affected by interpersonal violence, addiction, or other traumas. My intention is to create a space that feels secure for folks to feel seen and heard for who they are, while moving through their own healing process.

Reena comes with an extensive background working with both adults and adolescents. She has worked with a diverse population in the mental health field which incorporates families, couples, addictions, mental health (anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, etc.), dually diagnosed, and developmental disabilities including but not limited to autism and Asperger's Syndrome. She also has experience with grief and death and dying in which she uses Motivational Interviewing techniques to empower clients with difficult and advancing medical conditions to gain insight into their life values now, and in the future as things may progress with their medical condition.

I have been working with adults, teenagers, young children, and families as a whole for many years, using a positive strengths-based approach. I specialize in a number of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adults and teenagers, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and general behavioral modification for younger children and adolescents. I am committed to helping people of all ages with a range of challenges such as sells-harm, suicidal ideation, divorce, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, school refusal, trauma, attachment/adjustment difficulties, oppositional behaviors, and general family conflict.

My approach is down to earth and pragmatic as every person's experiences are unique. Because of this, my eclectic approach focuses on your individual needs. I am a firm believer in empowerment.
