I offer therapy and assessment to people of all ages, 6 and up, who might be struggling with inattention, mood or anxiety, executive functioning, learning differences, family problems, or social difficulties. Therapy can help to develop self-knowledge and acceptance, confidence, and empowerment to make meaningful change. The goal of assessment is to identify a person’s unique neurodivergent strengths, challenges and needs. When I work with families, we look for solutions that respect the autonomy of all family members and addresses the emotional needs of kids - and their parents - who may be struggling with meeting expectations.
I individualize therapy based on the client's unique strengths and needs. I include elements of CBT, ACT, DBT, & family systems. I am informed by my background in clinical and developmental research. My experience includes work at The Gifted Child Clinic, The Dyslexia Center of Princeton, RWJMS Pediatrics & NIMH. My degrees are from Princeton and Emory.
During an initial appointment, I will help you to clarify your needs and objectives. Together we will decide on the best course of action. The role of parents, privacy, and confidentiality will be discussed at the first session. In order for therapy to work, client and therapist develop a positive, trusting relationship through regular weekly appointments.
