My story starts with losing a UPS delivery job during the 2005 Christmas season because I ran over two cones in reverse. I felt lost, shed some tears until I realized I needed to head in a new direction - this time, moving forward. What I thought was the end was, in fact, just the beginning. I now have 16 years of experience as a psychotherapist, and I launched Cuda Counseling (C²) in 2017. I often work with professionals who are experiencing challenges due to the ever-increasing demands put on them.
I understand that sometimes life can be served on the rocks, causing anxiety, depression, irritability, stress, and even a case of the fck-its. I believe that when life knocks you down, it’s the bounce back that counts. By using cognitive behavioral therapy approaches, I help you identify common thinking errors and tools to help you overcome them.
Establishing a positive relationship is the most important ingredient in therapy. Any modality needs trust to work. It can take a few attempts to find a "good fit," and I encourage people to be honest about what works and what doesn't. Building a solid connection can be hard, but when you get it, it changes everything.
