Change is possible...I believe that part of my job is to offer hope to those who come to me through education, support and personal connection. When working with an individual, I focus not only on one's current situation and goals, but also on their past experiences. I believe that often, past experiences or traumas continue to affect you via dysfunctional relationship patterns, unhealthy behaviors or by leaving you with an overall sense of "feeling stuck". With the help of an experienced therapist, one can begin to see those connections and it is then that the real change can begin.

Going bonkers? All the best people do! Together we will use the evidence-based methods of positive psychology as well as the action-oriented tools of coaching, to get you feeling better. I assign my clients a "homework" assignment every week to practice new skills so that after 12 weeks they have resources, skills and new knowledge to use on a daily basis. I use various assessments to help my clients learn more about their thinking traps, strengths, values and obstacles. I've earned my masters in Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania, and have over 10 years of experience.
Clients often seek psychotherapy because something feels “off” or there are struggles which result in developmental and life transitions in their families. Unexplored behavioral and emotional responses can keep us feeling “stuck” and prevent us from fulfilling relationships and careers. Each client is unique and there is no such thing as “one size, fits all” therapy. I provide both long-term and shorter term support for clients facing setbacks/life changes. Therapy should help clients find a lifelong “compass” with which to navigate life's transitions.

As we look deeply into your presenting issues, together we will develop a targeted plan that meets your specific needs and provides opportunities for deeper healing and lasting change.
