Happy relationships are a refuge from other life stressors, while unhappy ones permeate every aspect of our lives. The focus of my work is on helping clients to create and sustain them. I teach clients how to become more intimate emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually with both themselves and their partners. Some of my clients are dealing with the aftermath of an affair; some are unclear about what they want, and some are trying to understand themselves (a prerequisite for being in a relationship.)

Are you someone who is struggling with managing the overwhelm of day to day life? Wishing that things could be different, but not having the knowledge or tools to make change. Perhaps you are a parent looking to understand how your own upbringing influences how you show up for your children. Maybe you are looking to feel more connected in your relationships and are having difficulty breaking free from the cycles that no longer serve you or identifying what these cycles are. Maybe you have suffered trauma in your life and that is keeping you from being fully present, embodied and unable to claim the space that you deserve.

In these times, more than ever it is imperative that we take care of our mental health. With so many factors affecting us on a day to day basis, it can be difficult to navigate our own thoughts and emotions, our relationships, and life events. Sometimes we need a brave space to simply process the challenges in our every day lives as well as work through the bigger issues that might be holding us back. I recognize the importance of this and provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental and trauma informed environment while we work together. I am so honored to be in a position to assist you with taking care of your mental health!

I am available for in-person sessions in my Westport, CT office.
Relationships are the bedrock of our well being When things go awry in our relationships with partners, parents, children or friends our stability is threatened. For over thirty years I have helped couples, friends, adult children and their parents repair and enhance their relationships. I have found that the combination of individual and joint sessions is most effective in helping clients reach their goals.

Choosing a therapist is a very important decision. It is difficult to know where to start, what to look for or what questions to ask during an interview. To make this easier for you, I say- let's get to know each other. In an atmosphere of compassion and acceptance, we will talk about you and what brings you joy. Providing a safe and accepting environment where you can feel comfortable to speak freely and openly is of the utmost importance to me.

As a clinical psychologist, I work with people of all ages helping them navigate the inevitable challenges of life by creating a space for them to understand and honestly talk through their thoughts, feelings and possible blindspots. Common presenting problems are depression, anxiety, distractibility, divorce, self-esteem and relationships. Therapy focuses on nurturing and cultivating one’s strengths while also identifying patterns of behavior and thoughts that might need to shift. We live in a fast paced world with a steady stream of messaging, leaving many feeling disconnected from themselves and others.
