You put on a brave face for others saying, "I'm fine", You suffer in silence and You hope time will make things better. The only emotions that can hurt You are the ones You don't acknowledge. Unanticipated life events, relationship struggles, grief or things You "just cannot identify" cause You to feel anxious, isolated, angry, frightened, disconnected or unworthy. You are simply human, like the rest of us, wanting to feel peaceful, engaged, inspired, connected, valued and confident. I invite You to make the self-supporting gesture of contacting me so we can collaborate, and You can obtain the support you desire. www.clearlifect.com

Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut, and I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals since 2015. My journey in mental health started with a deep passion for understanding the human mind and helping others overcome their challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, both of which I graduated from with high honors. Throughout my academic journey, I was fortunate to be inducted into several prestigious honor societies, which further fueled my commitment to the field.

My brand of therapy is all about real human connection. Need a hype girl or a cheerleader, I'm on it. Need some tough love and honesty, also there. Just need a listening ear and some reassurance that you aren't alone on this wild ride of a planet, yeah, I get it. Therapy should be about YOU. No AI, no filters, just us sharing space for all that spins your world. Very happily queer and nontraditional relationship friendly! Yes, that's a nod to you, ENM folks. Currently, I am currently open to new clients and am in network with Aetna, Optum (Connecticare, United, and Oxford), and Husky. OON friendly.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in conflict, or unsure how to move forward. Maybe anxiety is affecting your work or parenting. Perhaps your marriage feels strained, or co-parenting after divorce feels exhausting. Your teen may be withdrawing, or your child is struggling emotionally. You want clarity, tools, and a plan. You’re ready for support that is both compassionate and practical.

I work with adults and couples who want to feel more connected, confident, and fulfilled in their relationships — with others and with themselves. Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s needs and unsure how to find balance — feeling disconnected. Together, we explore who they are now, identify the attachment patterns shaping their relationships, and calm the nervous system that’s been stuck in “overdrive.” This process helps them feel grounded, present, and able to show up authentically in all areas of life.

I am also passionate about working with women on maternal wellness / motherhood struggles. Please know that you are not alone. Therapy can help to release that “heaviness” you are carrying around. Are you hesitant to start therapy? Maybe this is your first time or you had a less than desirable experience in the past...

All women are beautiful, in different and many ways. Yet, we often experience a sense of “never being enough”. As women, our lives are challenging and the things that influence a woman’s life can be oppressive and complex. I am here to be an ear, a sounding board and your advocate. I want to lift you up and show up in the ways you deserve. Together we will normalize and empower you through the harmful, unrealistic expectations that are often placed upon you. The world around you tries to define who you are, how you act, and what you look like. These are things that should only be defined by and written in your voice.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
