You put on a brave face for others saying, "I'm fine", You suffer in silence and You hope time will make things better. The only emotions that can hurt You are the ones You don't acknowledge. Unanticipated life events, relationship struggles, grief or things You "just cannot identify" cause You to feel anxious, isolated, angry, frightened, disconnected or unworthy. You are simply human, like the rest of us, wanting to feel peaceful, engaged, inspired, connected, valued and confident. I invite You to make the self-supporting gesture of contacting me so we can collaborate, and You can obtain the support you desire. www.clearlifect.com

Hello and thank you for stopping by to read my profile! With over 20 years of experience, I know that life has no shortage of struggle, but I believe that connection is what makes the difference. We all deserve a space where we can feel supported. Where we can be ourselves without fear of judgement so that we can navigate life's struggles in a way that feels comfortable and safe. It is through this support that we can learn and even re-learn how to love ourselves and live a life we are happy to lead.

Carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs is not working anymore. You’re burnt out, overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure who you are and finally ready for a change. Wanting peace, clarity, and direction is not selfish. When you are battling anxiety, people-pleasing, faith confusion, or cycles of low self-worth you remain stuck. If this resonates, I want you to hear this: you’re not broken and there's a way forward that brings peace, clarity, and confidence back into your story.

I welcome people of all faiths, and integrate spirituality into my work, as it feels comfortable to clients.
I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families heal their lives and relationships. My approach is compassionate, supportive and hopeful. It is my belief that you are not "flawed" or lacking, but rather are constrained by burdens and beliefs that are the result of painful experiences. Together we remove those constraints so that you can experience freedom, wholeness and joy. When working with couples, my goal is to help remove constraints to intimacy and to help you and your partner create a relationship that is honest and fulfilling. Often personal healing must occur in order for this to happen.

Are you looking for someone to help you through these challenging times? Are you truly interested in growing into the person you really want to be? Do you want to improve your relationships, whether it be with your significant other, your family, or at work? Do you want to grow spiritually? Do you want to work with someone who views his work as a calling, not merely a way to make a living? A therapist with a sense of humor and heartfelt humility? Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you well—but want more than just surface-level solutions? Maybe you're wrestling with anxiety, low self-worth, or depressive symptoms. Maybe you are carrying emotional pain that feels too heavy to manage alone. You’re seeking a space where your whole self—including your faith beliefs—can be understood and supported in the healing process. If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

There comes a point when pushing through no longer works. When anxiety feels louder than your inner voice, old wounds start resurfacing, or life shifts in ways that leave you unsteady. If you’re feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone. I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can slow down, listen inward, and begin to understand what your mind and body have been holding. Together, we gently untangle patterns that no longer serve you, tend to the parts of you that learned to survive, and strengthen the parts of you that are ready to thrive.

You might be carrying a burden that does not belong to you. Maybe someone told you it did or you blamed it on yourself. Maybe you are taking a "fierce moral inventory," (Step 4) and you want to "make amends" (Step 9). Walking around with guilt or shame is like carrying a bag of heavy stones that exhausts you; life has become bitter. But something tells you that you want to breathe free, break those chains of addiction, come out of the closet, let go of guilt that has nothing to do with you.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
