Please note I am only accepting adult clients for individual counseling. With an empathetic, collaborative, and genuine approach, I intend to meet my clients where they are at in life: whether it be by sitting with them through their pain and hardships, assisting them in identifying and accessing their strengths, or by offering supportive, objective insights. I believe that therapy is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. Therapy can inspire true, meaningful growth (and freedom from what holds us back).

I work with clients who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, depression, or chronic stress—even after trying talk therapy. You may notice tension in your body, difficulty relaxing, or emotional overwhelm. Often, past trauma or long-term stress has left your nervous system dysregulated. I use psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy to explore the deeper roots of your struggles.
I work with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families navigating repetitive patterns or major life transitions. Many of my clients feel a sense of "stuckness" in their relationships, in their roles as parents, or in their internal sense of self. They often seek a deeper understanding of the "why" behind their struggles rather than just a quick fix. I help my clients move forward by building a collaborative, non-judgmental partnership where we untangle these complexities together. My goal is to help you build a resilient path forward while honoring the unique cultural and personal histories you bring to our work.

It can feel like you’re stuck in a loop, facing the same frustrations in your relationships or a heavy cloud of anxiety no matter how hard you try to "think positive." You might cycle between anxious and avoidant patterns, where the very walls you built for self-protection now leave you feeling lonely. I offer a deeper approach. Instead of just swapping out thoughts, we look at the whole picture of who you are. By understanding the long-standing parts of your character, we don’t just put a bandage on the problem—we dismantle outdated defenses to create a foundation for lasting internal change and authentic connection.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Does psychoanalytic therapy work?
Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.

How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?
Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.

Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?
Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.

Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?
Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
