Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. My role as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to heal. With experience across community mental health, school-based therapy, and private practice, I frequently work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and the lasting impact of trauma. I offer clients help with regulating their nervous system, challenging negative self-beliefs, rewriting their trauma narrative, and strengthening boundaries and communication skills.

My goal is to help people improve their quality of life and to feel safe during the process. I have over 25 years of experience working with adolescents and adults, providing individual and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention. The majority of my work has been with people who have experienced loss and grief, trauma, and/or other significant issues such as depression, anxiety , PTSD, addictions, and ADHD. I utilize evidence based treatment approaches such as EMDR, CBT, and DBT, and believe that therapy should be person centered. I tailor to individual needs and goals rather than using a one treatment fits all approach.

Understanding your experiences & emotions is the gateway to change. I believe people can change, even when they struggle to believe that they can. I strive to help clients learn new skills, or enhance those they are already using, in order to improve all areas of their lives. Imagine how differently you might feel if you could overcome the obstacles that keep you feeling stuck in your life & relationships. Patterns that no longer work for you can be reshaped and built upon to make the most of who you are and want to become. With compassion and acceptance, I treat adults struggling with a range of issues affecting their well-being.

I work with women navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, attachment concerns, women's issues, and life transitions.
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when your thoughts are loud, your emotions feel intense, or you find yourself stuck in patterns you can’t quite break. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I work with women (18+) who are ready for change—even if they’re not fully sure where to start. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or relationship stress, and feel exhausted by trying to hold everything together. Using a client-centered, solution-focused approach, I help clients gain clarity, build insight, and create practical, sustainable changes so they can feel more grounded and in control.

Choosing a therapist is a big step, and I believe that the right fit can make all the difference. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and genuine respect for every person’s unique story. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just feeling stuck, my goal is to help you feel heard and understood—never judged. I draw from evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness, but I also believe that therapy should feel as individual as you are. My sessions are collaborative: we’ll work together to explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
