I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and messy relationships.
You might be feeling anxious, stuck, or just disconnected from the life you want to live. I know that reaching out is a big step, and I'm here to make sure you feel truly supported from the start. I work best with people who are ready to do the heavy lifting required for real change, because I’ve found that the most meaningful growth happens when we meet commitment with action. If you are ready to do the work, I am ready to walk beside you and help you get there. CA, CT, FL telehealth.

My areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, parenting challenges, pregnancy, perinatal and postpartum, stress management, self-esteem issues, life transitions and relational challenges.

Everyone deserves to feel better. My hope is to provide a safe space for you to be vulnerable and express the challenges that you are facing in life. Together, we can work on identifying your goals in therapy and build the therapeutic relationship you need in order to move forward.

My philosophy is very Jungian-based. I believe that life is about consciousness, balance, and relationship. We heal and grow by shining the light on the darkness instead of avoiding it. This philosophy is a complete approach to the journey. We want to look at the whole of the issue and then work through the details. This brings us to a higher level of awareness that gives us more connection to the different parts of ourselves with a focus on sexuality, romance, intelligence, and spirit. The method of treatment used is a combination of somatic based, mental based, and spiritual based treatment.

Getting to know my clients and their challenges makes my work as a Marriage and Family Therapist both rewarding and stimulating. Understanding what a person has been through and seeing their vision of their future is my goal. Collaborating with clients on their treatment plan and supporting their goals is an important part of my practice. I want clients to know they are welcomed and have found a safe space to express whatever is on their mind or in their heart.

This is where you can receive both psychotherapy and medication management services. I believe in a thoughtful and collaborative approach to mental health care. My journey began as a therapist, shaping how I understand each person’s unique experiences, diagnose with care, and assess the role of medication in their healing. Now, as both a therapist and prescriber, we’ll take the time to explore your needs integrating therapy and medication management to create a balanced, individualized treatment plan.

I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to create positive change. While I bring knowledge and tools to guide the process, you bring your own wisdom about your life. I believe growth happens best when we collaborate, and I often use gentle humor and natural conversation to make the process feel lighter and more approachable. My goal is for you to feel supported, comfortable, and never alone as we navigate this journey together.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
