As summer begins and school routines change, many children and adolescents experience shifts in structure, social connections, and daily expectations. I enjoy helping children, teens, and families navigate these transitions while building skills to manage emotions, relationships, anxiety, behavior challenges, and life changes. I also work with young adults as they move from college into the adult world, supporting them through career decisions, increased responsibilities, independence, workplace adjustment, stress management, and identity development. Whether facing a seasonal transition, a major life change, or everyday challenges.

The first step in seeking help is sometimes the hardest and finding the right therapist may feel overwhelming. Knowing trust is essential, I am a believer that a therapeutic alliance begins at the very first interaction whether it is on the phone or the exchange of a smile in the waiting room. Through the process of therapy, I can help you identify and change unhealthy patterns. Together, we will work to bring understanding and insight to the behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that may cause uncertainty and ultimately keeps you from achieving your full potential.

When life looks fine on the outside but doesn’t feel that way inside, this is a place for you to land it honestly. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning but feel like they’re going through the motions, stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by self-doubt. Sometimes this shows up during life transitions like starting college, career changes, relationship shifts, or periods of uncertainty where things feel unclear or emotionally flat. Whatever the case, my first priority is earning your trust and building a real human connection. Because real change happens when you stop performing and start speaking honestly.

No, you're not faking it. No one chooses to wrestle with who they are. You've carried these questions for years, until they twist into a knot of fear, confusion, hope, and desire. Every time you think you've finally arrived at some certainty, the doubt creeps back. What if I'm wrong? What if I lose everything? So you try to hide again. But that small voice, sometimes a scream, won't stop trying to be heard, trying to be expressed, trying to live. You don't have the words yet. Everyone else seems to just know, and you don't. And still that voice keeps reaching for the truth of who you are.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
