We all need support from time to time. We are not perfect and life is quite complex. Do you feel stuck and overwhelmed? Is your relationship falling apart? Is your past trauma affecting your daily life? You are not alone. I can help you get through the chaos and pain. I can help you mange fear, anxiety, depression and pain. You can become more confident and stronger than ever. I believe that crisis leads to change and transformation. Let me help you let go of a painful past and embrace new possibilities. Let me help you RE-FOCUS and CREATE a new you. “I’m not what happened to me. I’m what I chose to become”.

Our company is named COURAGE because that is what it takes to seek out therapy. We also need courage to trust a stranger to fully listen to us and treat our concerns with care and respect. Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding.

What do you do when you know the coping skills to use, but still feel anxious? You're able to go to work and "be functional," but inside, you're still on fire. Maybe you've been to therapy before, and still find yourself struggling to get through the day. I work with individuals who understand why they do what they do, and still can’t seem to get better. With a focus on "intellectualizers”, trauma, and chronic illness, I work with folks who are sick of coping, and want to start healing.

(Availability Online: Weekly Mon at 1, 2 or 3pm; Tues. at 11 to 12pm, 2pm; Thursday at 12pm, 1pm, or 2pm; In Person Thursday ONLY weekly Updated on 6/22/26).
When you're the dependable one- the one everyone looks to, where are you supposed to go? While you certainly know the right answers, even for yourself, putting them into action is much harder. Even more, when you're the balanced one, it can be hard to admit or even realize that you're struggling. That voice you're so used to hearing: the one that says that you're behind, tells you what you "should" be doing, says you're not doing enough- it doesn't have to be there. What would life be like without that pressure? Without that soundtrack you can be more present in your life.

Sometimes, getting through the day can seem filled with people and situations that are triggering. Life just seems easier for everyone else. If you could use some help navigating the ways you respond to daily stressors, let's talk. My office is a comfortable, confidential place where you and I can figure out why you're feeling unhappy. Unhappiness can spill over, leading to conflict with significant others, as well. I am a Certified, Level 3 trained IFS therapist. I specialize in helping people get to know the parts of themselves that can be reactive, depressed, or anxious. Let's work together to get you to a calmer, lighter place.

When looking for a therapist it's important you find someone your feel comfortable with. Therapy can be a safe place to share and explore feelings or issues that challenge most of us at one time or another. I use a strength-based, family systems approach in helping individuals, couples, adolescents, children, and their families to reduce stress, improve communication and relationships. My goal with all clients is to build on existing strengths, and help find realistic solutions to problems and help achieve their goals. I empower them to achieve the changes they are looking for, in a safe comfortable and non judgmental environment.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
