My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many are navigating trauma, chronic illness, eating disorders, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, identity exploration, or major life transitions. They may appear to be functioning on the outside while struggling internally. Together, we create a safe, supportive space to better understand emotions, heal from past experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and build the confidence, resilience, and self-compassion needed to create a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

As men age, they produce less testosterone required for normal physical performance and sexual enjoyment. Low testosterone levels can also lead to other issues such as muscle loss, fatigue, decreased sexual desire, mood swings, memory loss, depression, and anxiety. Hormone replacement therapy can reverse these symptoms by boosting low testosterone levels and correcting hormone imbalance. Men receiving testosterone replacement therapy can see an increase in energy, performance, sexual virility and improved feelings of well-being, as well as reduced body fat, decreased mood swings, increased strength and improved mood.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Perhaps you are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, major life transitions or feeling overwhelmed by responsibility. You're used to holding it together for everyone else while privately struggling. You want clarity, healthier ways to cope, and tools that actually work for you but you may not know where to begin. Most of all, you want a space where you feel understood, not judged, and supported as you move toward stability, confidence, and meaningful change.

I work with Individuals, Couples and Families who can sometimes feel "stuck" not heard or unhappy. I believe that my clients are the experts and my goal is to guide them in understanding the "why," "how," and "what's next." I believe that even in our darkest times we all have strengths that can help us achieve the goals we want within our relationships with ourselves and the others in our life and my role in the therapeutic process is to guide you towards those strengths so together we can bring back into light they deserve. I like to go at my client(s) pace so to not push or create unattainable expectations.

Intervention Therapists
How does an intervention work?
An intervention is a planned, structured meeting in which a person’s family or friends voice concerns about the person’s behavior and its consequences; the goal is for the person to accept treatment. In this meeting, the person’s loved ones (often with the guidance of a trained interventionist) share how the person’s behavior has harmed them and the consequences if the person refuses treatment. They collectively ask the person to accept a proposed treatment plan.

How effective are interventions?
There isn’t extensive research on the efficacy of interventions, in part because success is difficult to measure. Individuals often enter addiction treatment after an intervention, for example, but treatment itself may not work, especially if the person only begins due to external pressure from others rather than due to internal motivation to change. However, if all other attempts at helping someone have failed, an intervention may be worth exploring.

What are the limitations of interventions?
While a friend or family member’s intentions are in the right place in wanting to help a loved one through an intervention, there are significant limitations to the approach. The surprising nature of the event can make the person feel ambushed or judged. They may feel embarrassed or ashamed as a result, and relationships may be strained or broken. This can make it difficult for the individual to be receptive to the concerns of their loved ones and the interventionist.

Are there alternatives to interventions?
Rather than confronting a loved one through an intervention, an effective and less pressured approach is to create space for a caring, open, one-on-one conversation. This works best if the loved one asks open-ended questions, listens attentively to the answers, and frames their observations and statements with concern rather than judgment. More than one conversation may be needed, but change can take root over time.
