I work with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, school-related issues, relationship challenges, co-parenting challenges, domestic violence, and more.
My goal is to provide a safe environment where you feel not only supported, but also heard. At the end of the day, this is your journey, and I am here to help guide and support you along the way. I know speaking about your traumas, anxieties, and feelings can be hard. I take it at your pace, and I like to incorporate some humor into sessions so that therapy does not always feel so heavy and daunting.

I work with adolescents (14+) and adults who may appear put together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck internally.
Many clients reach out when emotional overwhelm, anxiety, depression, or relationship stress begins to feel difficult to manage alone. I provide a supportive space to slow down, process what they are experiencing, and better understand their patterns. Over time, clients often feel more grounded, confident, and clear in how they move forward.

Relationships are central to the human experience. They shape our expectations about the world, our interactions, and others in our lives. At times, our experiences can leave us feeling dissatisfied, disconnected, and even disillusioned. I am a licensed clinical and health psychologist, working with adults seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, maternal mental illness, vicarious trauma, and those managing life transitions.

Taking a leap of faith is a risk, but with all risks come great rewards. When seeking therapy, we are running the risk of challenging ourselves and reaching outside our comfort zones - but we are rewarded with new opportunities, positive changes, and inner peace.

I grew up in the rural Midwest, where close-knit communities taught me the value of resilience, compassion, humility, and authentic human connection, values that guide how I show up as a therapist today. With 14 years of experience providing in-home, outpatient, and telehealth therapy to children, families, and individuals of all ages, Im well versed in a large variety of treatment approaches and diagnoses, but I’ve found that the client-therapist compatibility matters most. I welcome any and all potential clients to schedule a 15 minute consultation to see if we might be a good match. In-home services offered in parts of CT.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
