I believe the therapeutic process is collaborative, rooted in rapport, and always leaves room for humor and humility. My strength lies in creating a therapeutic relationship that feels authentic, accessible, and safe. I'm often described as "down to earth" and honest. I believe you will also find that I am nurturing, witty, yet tactfully direct. I love working with clients who have never been to therapy before and be given opportunity to teach them how relatable and genuine this process can be.

Change is inevitable but the process of change can be difficult to navigate alone, whether as an individual, couple, or family. Often advice from friends or family only goes so far, and is not really the kind of help you are looking for when what used to feel comfortable or right no longer feels so good. I can help you address your unique situation, whether you want to focus on solutions in the present, longer term issues in the past, or your goals for the future.

I help adults who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, obsessive thinking, relationship challenges, and addiction recovery. Many of my clients have spent years trying to understand why they feel stuck, only to find that insight alone isn't enough to create lasting change. Using EMDR, CBT-informed approaches, and depth-oriented therapy, I help clients heal from difficult experiences, break free from recurring patterns, and build more fulfilling relationships—with themselves and others.

What is therapy? This is a question new clients often ask me. Therapy is a space to explore your feelings and emotions—a process of self-discovery and growth. As we move forward, it becomes a place to learn skills and techniques to manage emotions, relationships, and challenging situations. The journey toward living your best life begins with a desire to address behaviors or patterns that may no longer serve you. I believe the journey is the most important part of life. My work has centered on outpatient and inpatient behavioral health services with seniors, adults, and adolescents.

Hello! I am a full-time therapist working at a child/adolescent PHP/IOP program. At this time I am only offering professional supervision services, which means I am not accepting clients for therapy. I am looking to connect with providers seeking professional supervision and case consultation (and I am able to sign off on hours of professional supervision toward LCSW licensure for LMSWs in the state of Connecticut). I may be an especially good fit for providers who feel under-equipped to manage challenging behaviors in children and adolescents (and/or the challenging behaviors of the adults who make up their support systems).

I work with a diverse section of clients but specialize in Men's issues, Veterans and Addictions.
Effective therapy allows you to grieve the person you might have been if you had been treated with care earlier in life—and then helps you keep living anyway. Therapy isn’t about endlessly revisiting the past; it’s about understanding it, honoring what was lost, and deciding how you want to live now. My work is grounded in Existential and Reality Therapies. Together, we face the limits, losses, and choices that shape a life, and then focus on what you can take responsibility for today. Good therapy is a grounded, honest conversation about the life you’re actually living—and the decisions that shape what comes next.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
