Are you struggling with a life change? Are you feeling stuck, are you experiencing sadness, worry, stress, low self-esteem, or lack of confidence? Do you want to understand yourself better? Are you a young adult, entering a new world of responsibilities? Therapy can help!
Starting therapy can feel strange... You're sharing very personal things with a stranger which can be scary and intimidating. I believe that a trusting rapport is most important in a therapeutic relationship and will always spend the time needed to help you to feel comfortable, regardless of how long it takes.

When my husband and I were having marital issues, we tried three therapists, none of whom helped us very much. In fact, over all, they made things worse. It occurred to me that I might be able to do this better. I wanted a therapist who wouldn’t take sides--someone who would work to understand my point of view as well as my husband’s point of view--someone who would be empathetic and compassionate. I wanted someone who would care about both of us, and, give us hope. These are among the reasons that I became a therapist.

I've been involved in the behavioral health field over 30 years working with children and adults. In that time, I have become acquainted with numerous types of treatment. I've seen many positive responses to these techniques but have also heard clients state how the reality of their lives did not always fit the mold of some approaches. This "fitting a square peg into a round hole" has been an issue for some clients in previous treatment. Though issues people experience can be common to others, they are also specific to the individual. This makes more generalized treatments difficult.

Does life feel like an unsafe, roller coaster? Given the tension of living in current world affairs, I think it is unethical for me to say that one can achieve a full reset under such conditions, yet you're human, and have rights - including rest. As an LMFT with past experience serving ages 2 to 92, my focus became predomiantly professionals within individual sessions and small groups. Trained in evdence-based practices like IFS, MI, and CBT, my strength-based, intuitively creative, and trauma-informed approach supports you in creating positive, lasting change, one small step at a time, as you reconnect with your Self -Energy.

At Grace Valley Clinical Services, we support individuals who are silently struggling—those who show up for everyone else, but deep down feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted. Many carry the weight of past trauma, grief, rejection, or emotional neglect. Others are navigating faith questions, burnout, strained relationships, or major life transitions that leave them feeling off-center and out of control.

Life doesn’t always give us time to catch our breath. Maybe you’re managing stress, anxiety, or grief. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you: emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of where to go next.
Life can feel especially overwhelming when you’re navigating changes, holding onto old pain, or questioning your place in the world. Maybe your self-esteem has taken a hit, or you’ve spent years putting others first and no longer know how to check in with yourself.
Whatever brought you here, therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and come back to yourself. You can show up exactly as you are.

I believe everyone has the capacity to find peace, strength, and self-worth within. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 24 years of experience, I’ve supported adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health and substance use challenges across diverse settings. I’ve seen how trauma, loss, and instability can fracture identity—but also the resilience within. In addition, as a military spouse, I’m passionate about providing culturally competent, compassionate care to service members and their families.
