As a therapist, I sit with my clients while they process the struggles in their lives, and support them as they build upon their strengths with effective strategies for handling difficulties in the future. I strongly believe that therapy is most effective when work is done outside of our sessions- by both the client and myself. In keeping a small caseload, I am better able to allocate my time and energy to meeting the specific needs of my clients through research, education, and interventions tailored to each case. Similarly, I hope my clients will work on their growth during the week by practicing techniques discussed in session.
Much of my practice focuses on depression, anxiety, life transitions, relational issues and grief-work. As a Board Certified Counselor, I have been trained in a variety of modalities; however I tend to prefer a strength based, solution-focused approach.
