I am certified in Animal Assisted Therapy and together with my animal partners I offer a non traditional approach to treating anxiety, trauma and depression. Have you experienced trauma or loss? Are you struggling with stress, anxiety and/or depression? Is traditional talk therapy intimidating or not really your style? Maybe you just don't have the words to describe what you’re feeling. Well you have come to the right place.

Tomorrow is a new day, with no mistakes in it. LMM Welcome to New Day Therapy! I became a psychotherapist because exploring how people are remarkable, resilient, and unique is exciting and rewarding. I believe everyone has value, talent, wisdom, and ability. I genuinely enjoy helping people find their superpower through their own story. Sometimes a chapter seems to write itself, beyond our control, or influenced by circumstances, people, or illness that feels confusing, unfair, frightening, or depressing. Our stories are more than just one chapter, and overcoming can be a key element to the story we want to write.

Crises or life stressors are often what initially bring people to therapy. Others come to work on old issues that continue to re-surface, causing problems for the individuals themselves or in their relationships with family, or at school or work. Many people find therapy to be a place where they can work on increasing personal insight and self-awareness in order to live more fulfilling lives, and work toward achieving their highest potential. Whatever brings you here, therapy can be a place to help you restore balance in your life and live life to the fullest. In therapy, we work together to bring about lasting change.

Your last heartbreak was like a glass shattering. As you pick up the pieces, you notice the same cycle repeating: overthinking every text, losing yourself in someone else’s pace, and feeling too much and not enough all at once, wondering if you’ll ever have a truly healthy relationship. You are not broken — your nervous system is replaying old attachment wounds. I help successful, professional women in their 30s calm the inner chaos, understand why it keeps happening, and recalibrate your attachment system to feel clear, confident, and grounded while seeking love that is safe, nourishing, and real.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
