Do you ever notice that your mind is worrying about something in the future, or maybe stuck in the past, all the while missing out on the present moment? Mindfulness-based techniques can help and I would love to support you in learning and practicing these skills. I am an over thinker myself, and this is why I enjoy working with young adults and adults on managing their anxiety. Mindfulness practices can also help us get in touch with or rediscover the small joys in life, and there are many!

My primary focus is to help women heal from trauma with ease. I work best with women who present with fears, phobias, self doubt, guilt and overwhelm, chronic stress; women who are sensitive and empathetic, intuitive and insightful. I have a special interest in working with women who have experienced emotional abuse, narcissism, gaslighting, and other forms of interpersonal trauma and abuse. I use mind-body-brain techniques to facilitate deep transformational healing without retraumatization. If you have tried conventional talk therapy, have gained much insight, but limited relief, you may need a more integrative approach.

I believe that therapy can be effective in helping those that suffer from addiction. I have worked in in detox, outpatient and residential treatment. I retired as the Director of Farrell Treatment Center in July of 2023, to concentrate on my private practice. Addiction does not exist in a vacuum. Recognizing and treating other problems, trauma, anxiety and depression, and the relationship between those problems and addiction, is necessary for successful treatment. I am extensively trained in trauma therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I use individual and group therapy.

I help struggling individuals, distant couples, and hurting families. I provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for people to explore their pain and challenges without fear of judgment. Building a strong relationship where my clients know they are cared for and are free to laugh or cry (we do a lot of both) is extremely important to me. As a social worker at heart, I try to help those I work with recognize the strengths they have as well as to recognize where one's lifestyle may be out of balance with one's personal values.

I work with adolescents, adults, and athletes ready for meaningful change. I support adolescents with self-esteem, academic stress, peer conflict, identity development, and regulating emotions, while guiding parents in strengthening communication and connection. With adults, I provide a space to explore emotional difficulties, heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, and break free from toxic relationships and family dynamics. As a former NCAA Division I athlete, I also offer specialized support to help current and former athletes manage performance stress, injuries, and adjust to changes in sport and life.

Welcome! Sometimes change and uncertainty feel like the only constant in life and we get overwhelmed. At other times we feel stuck, possibly not taking action we know is in our best interest due to emotions connected to issues and past events. I am here to provide you with a safe, caring and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. When we better understand why we feel the way we do, we can transform the beliefs and release the stuck emotions that limit us. My goal is to empower you to be more able to weather life's storms, respond to challenges, and make the positive changes you want.
