My brand of therapy is all about real human connection. Need a hype girl or a cheerleader, I'm on it. Need some tough love and honesty, also there. Just need a listening ear and some reassurance that you aren't alone on this wild ride of a planet, yeah, I get it. Therapy should be about YOU. No AI, no filters, just us sharing space for all that spins your world. Very happily queer and nontraditional relationship friendly! Yes, that's a nod to you, ENM folks. Currently, I am currently open to new clients and am in network with Aetna, Optum (Connecticare, United, and Oxford), and Husky. OON friendly.

I take an integrative, holistic approach to mental health because I believe true healing happens when we treat the whole person — mind and body working together. Change doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when we actively do the work, and I’m here to support and challenge you through that process. One thing you’ll often hear me say is: "Nothing changes unless something changes." I primarily work with young adults and adults, helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and stress. Specializing in helping women navigate perimenopause, anxiety, burnout, mood shifts, and identity changes with practical, grounded support.

Choosing a therapist feels overwhelming, the right connection can change your whole experience. Whether you’ve been in therapy before or it’s your first time, taking the steps to get started is the hardest part. Daily life can be challenging and stressful. Managing daily responsibilities, work, significant others/family/friends; on top of stress of anxiety, that sometimes comes out of no where, depression and/or relationship issues can feel impossible. Learning to balance it all seems out of reach, but it doesn't have to. I have extensive experience in helping people manage through these difficulties and more.

Relationships can be one of the most meaningful — and most painful — parts of our lives. If you and your partner feel stuck in the same arguments, disconnected, or unsure how you got here, you’re not alone. Many couples come to me feeling frustrated, unheard, or quietly hopeless that things can shift. Rather than deciding who’s right or wrong, we focus on understanding what’s happening underneath — the fears, longings, and protective strategies that often go unspoken.

I draw from psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches to help you understand the patterns and stories driving your behavior.
You've spent years achieving, performing, and holding it all together for everyone else. However, deep down you feel like you’re not enough, and you can never do enough. The accolades have left you feeling empty. You’re tired of feeling unfulfilled and overwhelmed. You’re ready for some relief from your daily anxiety. You’ve mastered external measures of success, but now you want to get more curious about your inner world with the same level of drive. You’re ready to feel ease, purpose, and worthy. Whether you're a driven professional, boarding school student, or medical professional, you're in the right place.

The deepest relationships don't require you to disappear. I work with individuals and couples who long for deeper connection but find themselves losing connection with themselves in the process. We are wired for connection, yet many of us learn patterns that once helped us feel safe—anticipating others' needs, overfunctioning, avoiding conflict, withdrawing, or losing ourselves to preserve relationships. These are not signs that something is wrong with you; they are adaptations. Together, we explore these patterns with compassion and create new possibilities for healthier, more authentic relationships.

Are you overwhelmed and exhausted? Have you lost interest in people and activities you used to enjoy? Feeling sad or anxious? Is it difficult to think clearly, make decisions, feel positive about the future? For many stress, depression and panic have become a way of life. Somehow we end up on autopilot, disappointed, nervous and disillusioned, feeling like we have no choice. Work can become more and more demanding but less and less rewarding. Relationships can become strained or unfulfilling. We can feel helpless and hopeless. You are not the only one!

My approach is integrative — relational, psychodynamic, somatic, IFS-informed, and EFT-informed.
I work with people whose relationships and inner lives do not fit polite therapy language. High-conflict couples. People deciding whether to divorce. Almost-estranged family members seeking connection. High-masking autistic women. Overfunctioners. ENM/poly and BDSM folks. People carrying shame or anger around sex, desire, resentment, need, and the parts of themselves they think a "normal" therapist would judge. I provide what I think of as “unmasked” therapy: human-to-human, emotionally honest, clinically grounded work with real language and room for the messier truths of your life.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
