Feeling different can be exhausting, lonely, and overwhelming. You may feel out of place or like you don’t belong. Some carry this from early life into adulthood. For others, it may arise through chronic illness or disability. I’m passionate about working with those who have felt misunderstood, overlooked, or unseen. My work centers BIPOC folks who are chronically ill, neurodivergent, or those who feel they have had to shrink to be accepted. I support folks navigating identity exploration, workplace stress, and major life transitions. This may present as anxiety, depression, or feeling disconnected from yourself or your community.
I provide a space to explore how your past experiences impact your present. I also acknowledge how systems and forces outside of our control (racism, ableism, etc.) impact your experience. Together, we find ways to move forward and build a meaningful and fulfilling life. I believe pain and discomfort can exist alongside growth, joy, pleasure, & connection.
In therapy with me, you do not have to mask, shrink, or explain away your experience. You can show up fully as you are (w/ any accommodations you need). Being different is not something to be fixed. It’s something to be accepted, honored, and celebrated. Together, we can build a deeper understanding of yourself that comes from a place of compassion & empathy
