With 19 years' experience working in behavioral health, I have found that positive change occurs when an individual is empowered with self-awareness and the recipient of healthy support. I offer a mind-body approach combining evidence-based psychotherapy, mindfulness techniques and physical movement to foster a greater connection and relationship with self. As a clinician, I have worked with individuals, couples and families experiencing a variety of addiction concerns, co-occurring disorders, trauma, grief, severe depression, anxiety, psychosis and mood disorders.
In 2016, I furthered my passion for wellness by becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher and have since seen success implementing yoga as a supplemental tool for healing from trauma, fostering wellness and supporting recovery. Examples of therapeutic tools include breath work, guided meditation, mindfulness, finding balance and self-soothing techniques.
I believe in the importance of the therapeutic alliance as a conduit through which an individual can realize positive change and nurture their capacity toward mindfully navigating future challenges.
