I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. I’ve practiced therapy at various levels of treatment; from residential treatment, to partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, as well as general outpatient therapy. I’m a licensed therapist in the state of Georgia and Florida, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. The beautiful thing about specializing in trauma work is that I’m able to help you see how it impacts and connects to all the other struggles you may be having present day.
I believe in the importance of understanding how all parts of your wellness (i.e. mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, social, etc) intersect and affect one another so that you can reach an optimal level of well-being; because what you’ve experienced doesn’t just affect one part of you, it affects all of you.
My mission as your therapist is to help you figure out where and why there is a disconnect within you, then learn how to reconnect with yourself and create a greater sense of wholeness through healing.
