About
I am a Marine veteran and earned my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Additionally, I am certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Maryland and Virginia. Although I specialize in working with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma, I also work with a wide variety of persons including individuals, couples, families, underserved, international, minorities, as well as military personnel and their families.
I have successfully treated myriad of difficulties including, but not limited to, dual diagnosis, chronic pain, adjustment disorders, confidence building, career counseling, life transitions, cognitive restructuring, and academics while supporting Individual Education Plan meetings/advocacy with families. I have run multiple groups for women that are survivors of domestic violence.
Having completed training, I am able to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Treatment as a way to minimize the long term effects of trauma related difficulties. EMDR has proven its ability to heal the mind from psychological trauma as much as the body heals from physical trauma.
