As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, family conflicts, relationship issues, self-harm behaviors, trauma & eating disorders. I help my clients reduce their suffering by applying evidenced based treatments in addition to using their inherent strengths. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and family systems are my primary therapeutic approaches.

I am a foundationally trained DBT therapist and as a result use mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, & interpersonal effectiveness skills in my work. These skills have been proven to help regulate emotions, reduce/eliminate destructive coping behaviors and enhance interpersonal relationships.

My practice also includes the use of breathing, visualization and exposure based practices to help you face and overcome obstacles or fears. Meal support is also available to help break the cycle of dysfunctional eating patterns and behaviors. Allow me to help you or a loved one by calling today.

DBT for Eating Disorders Skills Training

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of therapy rooted in mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and behaviorism designed to help clients create a life worth living. This treatment also involves valuable skills training in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance to help move clients towards their individual goals and values. Developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., DBT has been empirically validated through controlled scientific studies as effective treatment for a variety of disorders that involve emotional, cognitive, interpersonal, and/or behavioral difficulties.
