I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with individuals and couples. When I begin therapy with an individual, I take time to listen and learn about the sources of their negative feelings or disappointing patterns. As we build a shared understanding of their pain or frustration, we incorporate cognitive, behavioral, emotion regulation or interpersonal skills. I draw on my training in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and emotionally focused therapy to support and guide my patients as they move toward greater resiliency and more adaptive management of symptoms including depression, anxiety, and compulsivity.
I engage couples collaboratively in a process of identifying the most problematic aspects of their relationship and developing communication and relational skills that foster reconnection and growth as a couple. I believe that developing a satisfying relationship requires continuous emotional learning and willingness to practice empathy and curiosity.
I provide psychological testing focused on psychoadiagnostic clarification and personality assessment.
