Hello, My name is Cristal Martinez. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Pedro, California. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and those who simply want to learn better ways of coping with their day-to-day life.
I specialize in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. As mentioned previously, I have experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults and typically work with those who are living with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions.
I decided to become a therapist after spending over 15 years working in counseling-type roles with others. It was during my years of providing services to underserved communities that I found my passion for helping others. It dawned on me that I truly enjoy listening to people and helping them unlock their true potential.
