As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both New Jersey and New York Edeline Elicin has made it her calling to help individuals, couples, and family in overcoming life adversities. Edeline Elicin received her Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University- Newark in Psychology, Sociology and minoring in African American Studies. She continued her journey of higher education by attending Seton Hall University, studying in Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in Drug and Alcohol Counseling.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor(LCADC) with over 24 years of experience working with both Adults and adolescents, I have seen a wide range of mental health diagnosis that do not need to define who my clients are, but rather are unique elements of their own journeys. As each journey is unique, my role is to help my clients on that journey to navigate those obstacles, build new skills, and seek personal insight on how those obstacles can be overcome or managed.

My ideal client is actively contemplating making changes in their life. They are prepared to discuss, explore, and process their trauma history and to find meaning in their experiences. They are able to work towards identifying how they would like to see their quality of life change (for example, reduce and better manage anxiety) and are prepared to take the necessary steps to do so. Additionally, the client can tolerate being challenged when their thinking or behaviors are inconsistent with their goals.
