Welcome to my practice! My name is Dr. Rebecca Miller, owner and clinician of Creative Arts Connection. I am an experienced licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed professional art therapist with nearly 20 years' experience helping clients of all life walks and backgrounds who seek healing and growth following difficult life experiences, including trauma, loss, perinatal mental health concerns, and other issues. I believe that we heal best when in creative connection with others, and support clients using a wide variety of creative and evidence-based methods, including art therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, and other approaches.
I have a PhD in Counseling from the University of Missouri; a Master's in Art Therapy from New York University; and advanced certification and training in trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR and TF-CBT. I am the Program Director of the graduate Counseling and Art Therapy program at Ursuline College, and a frequent presenter and published author.

Birth Trauma Creative Support group
The experience of birth trauma is often dismissed or unacknowledged, leaving those who have experienced it feeling alone and isolated. It doesn’t have to be this way. Social support through creative connection with others can be critical. This closed group will utilize art therapy processes and psycho-education within a supportive community space towards the goal of post-traumatic growth and healing. Although common to experience more than one type of reproductive trauma (fertility struggles, perinatal loss, birth trauma, etc.), this group is specifically geared towards exploration, processing, and healing from birth trauma. No art experience required.
