I believe that children and their families desire a loving, meaningful bond and connection, regardless of the challenges and obstacles they may face. Through a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and parent training, I provide reassurance, support, guidance, and insight to help families navigate difficult situations and strengthen their relationships. With more than 25 years of professional experience, I have worked with children and families facing crisis, life transitions, and temporary concerns. My background includes serving in a variety of settings serving youth and families and promote positive outcomes.
I specialize in treating children with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, behavior problems, and poor coping skills, as well as address academic difficulties. I have developed group trainings and therapeutic sessions with topics to observe and address clients' real issues in social settings. Young clients learn to utilize real skills, in real time, with playing games.
Child sessions include play and cognitive behavioral activities and some group therapy techniques in a child/ adolescence friendly environment. I have also invested in the "Play Attention" program to specifically target and address inattention symptoms. My young clients can't wait to return because they "feel seen & heard". Children thrive on consistency.
