At Create & Connect Art Therapy and Counseling, we believe healing begins in spaces where you don't have to explain why you're exhausted, always on guard, or carrying more than anyone realizes. We specialize in trauma-informed therapy and art therapy for first responders, military members, veterans, helping professionals, caregivers, and adults in high-responsibility roles throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania. Our therapists create collaborative, compassionate, and honest spaces where you can process what you've carried, reconnect with yourself, and move beyond simply surviving.
Our Team
Have you ever thought, "Who am I when I'm not taking care of everyone else?" You're the one people rely on. The one who keeps the peace, carries the weight, and makes sure everyone else is okay. Somewhere along the way, you may have lost sight of your own needs or started to feel unseen beneath the roles you've learned to fill. You may be burned out, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are outside of caring for others. There's nothing wrong with you. Your experiences make sense when viewed through the full context of your story.

Maybe you've found yourself wondering, "Why can I handle the crisis at work but feel overwhelmed at home?" Or perhaps you've noticed that the things that once shocked you don't seem to affect you anymore, while everyday moments leave you feeling irritable, disconnected, or constantly on edge. You know how to push through, stay composed, and keep showing up for others, but when the day is over, you're not sure how to let your guard down. These aren't signs that something is wrong with you. They're often the ways your mind and body learned to protect you.
