About
I am a licensed master's level Social Worker in the State of Michigan with a law degree. I provide social work ethics consultations, case assessments to attorneys in social work ethics cases and family law cases. Other services include: counseling services for individuals, couples, and families related to loss and grief as the result of death, illness or divorce and adjustment issues. I have over 25 years of experience in working with families and over 20 years of experience as a divorce and family mediator! In addition, I offer a variety of social work workshops. Therapeutic treatment modalities utilized vary with the needs of the client. While conventional talk therapy is used, other forms of therapy like art therapy, journaling, reading therapy, etc. are considered in developing the treatment plan collaboratively with each client. Ethics consultations are based on the current NASW Code of Ethics.
I appeared on the Cooking Channel's TV show, Restaurant Redemption. The episode first aired November 5, 2013. The show can be seen on-line. I also teach for Eastern Michigan University and Michigan State University Social Work Continuing Education Departments. She regularly teaches workshops for MI-NASW.
