Understanding and Managing ADHD in Children
This is an eight-week, 90 minute group. The group focus is to teach caregivers behavioral management strategies to improve their child’s functioning at home and school. Caregivers learn strategies to set their child up for success and decrease stress and frustration at home. Caregivers also learn to work with their child’s school to address challenges. Topics Include: Understanding ADHD, Effective behavior management, Helping your child to follow rules and listen to instructions, Helping you child manage frustration, Helping your child problem solve appropriately, Helping your child successfully complete homework, Reducing undesired behaviors, Maintaining changes over time.

Academic Success for Students with ADHD
This is a seven-week, 90 minute, group. Adolescents often experience an increase in academic demands and expectations. Adolescents with ADHD may experience a decline in grades or an increase in academic difficulties as they advance to higher grade levels. The focus of the Middle School (6th – 8th grade) and High School (9th – 10th grade) groups is to teach adolescents and their parents specific strategies targeting academic improvement that work for most adolescents with ADHD. Topics Include: Understanding ADHD and its impact on school performance, Behavioral management strategies, Improving homework performance, Time management Organizational strategies, Study skills.
