Therapy is about growth and learning new skills to navigate life - it shouldn't be focused on fixing things that are wrong or solving problems. As a therapist I view myself as a guide for life's journey, including providing tools to achieve goals and experience gratification.
For psychological assessment/testing, I reveal profiles of strengths and weaknesses, not just scores and diagnoses. I want clients to emerge with a deeper understanding of themselves, of how their minds work.
My therapy work is around anxiety, self-esteem, autism spectrum, social skills, resilience, motivation, and failure-to-launch. I also provide executive functioning support (organization, time management, study skills, etc.).
My assessments look at ADHD, reading/writing/math disorders, language disorders, anxiety, and autism spectrum.
I love helping clients experience the "ah-ha" moments, when they have connected dots and come to understand something important about themselves and their lives. I will help you or your child have those kinds of moments.
