Welcome! Deciding to come to therapy is a big step. Whether you are still contemplating that decision or you are ready to take action and make changes, I will meet you where you are and support your process with compassion and patience. I take an integrated approach to treatment that is grounded in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and utilize elements of solution focused therapy and DBT tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, trauma, anger management, academics and/or healthy relationships.
In working together, we will employ humor, mindfulness training, and cognitive shift work as we challenge existing negative thoughts, behaviors, and patterns. Recognizing the importance of mind-body connection, spirituality and one's own faith are tools that will be used to achieve personal growth and healing.
I place a strong emphasis in one's strengths and incorporate meeting the client at their emotional level of development and readiness. Thank you for taking the time to read more about my practice approach and I look forward to working with you.
