I am a LMFT Supervisor & a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I work with children (1 year old up), teens, families, combatants, first responders, victims of violent crimes, & others. I treat preverbal or traumatic attachment (kids/teens), complex trauma, anxiety, behavioral issues and other childhood needs. Learning to see from your child's perspective helps caregiver(s) to understand their child/ren and family. My goals are to collaborate with you & your family to restore balance, improve communication, provide neuro-divergent psychoeducation, promote more secure attachments and develop competency.

Hi. My name is Dr. Sherri L. Scott and I am passionate to work with you in your quest for wellness and to overcome challenges that you and/or your family may be experiencing. My professional credentials are Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed and Ordained Minister. Over 30 plus years my expertise in behavioral health services has been honed to provide Clinical Therapy, Clinical Supervision and Education in correctional, psychiatric residential treatment, university and community outpatient settings.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specializing in the areas of trauma (sexual abuse, physical abuse, maltreatment, PTSD), anxiety, depression, self-esteem & identity, and couples and family work. I have experience working with children ages 3 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. When working with couples I utilize the research and theories of the Gottman Method developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman to facilitate reconnection and strengthen communication. I have my Doctorate of counseling psychology (PsyD), am a licensed professional counselor - supervisor (LPC), registered play therapist - supervisor (RPT-S), a nationally certified counselor (NBCC), certified dependency counselor - I (CDC-I), and a master addictions counselor (MAC).
