Trauma is often created by changes you do not choose. Healing is about creating changes that you can choose and I hope to create that space for you. My name is Dr. Courtney Wineland and I have been working with clients for over 10 years. I provide trauma-informed care to those who have experienced sexual, physical, or emotional abuse and neglect, as well as those are in or are recovering from narcissistic abusive relationships.
I have also developed a passion, through my work at the Cincinnati VA, working with veterans who have experienced trauma and helping them to be able to navigate life outside of the military.
In addition to trauma approaches that include Cognitive Processing Therapy and Narrative Exposure Therapy, I also specialize in Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to provide coping skills on managing negative thoughts related to difficult emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
I am passionate about helping clients recognize they do not have to be defined by their pain and how to build upon their strengths and resiliency. I am dedicated to providing a warm and empathetic approach to therapy and value each client’s experience to reach their full potential towards living a more meaningful life!
