The journey to parenthood can bring up many different emotions; fear, uncertainty, unresolved pasts, self-doubt, or grief, to name a few. Trying to navigate these emotions during a time of such vulnerability can be overwhelming. Resiliency and healing are fostered through empathy, connection, and understanding, and I know that growth can come from some of the most painful experiences. In my role as a therapist, my job is to help you explore the resources you already have to help you safely navigate your own experience of parenthood.
Relying on a variety of treatment approaches, as well as my previous experience as a birth doula, and my background and specialty in human development, family studies, and perinatal mental health, I help you build upon your wisdom, experiences, and strengths to navigate your own journey.
I support women and families in working through pregnancy/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, loss, traumatic birth experiences, parenting children with special needs, and parenting through a trauma-informed, person-centered lens. I am licensed in both PA and IN and currently only offer individual therapy virtually.
