I believe everyone deserves to have a safe, non-judgmental space to process through life’s many challenges and to feel empowered in gaining skills to help them grow. I take a person centered, eclectic approach with clients and work with each individual to find what approach is best suited for them. I am trained in EMDR and I have experience using elements of CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, and ERP. I utilize evidenced based practices along with empathy, humor, and curiosity to create a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment.
I have a therapy dog in training who joins me in sessions frequently and supports my commitment to creating a welcoming therapeutic environment. I value incorporating warmth, safety, and nervous system regulation principles into my clinical philosophy, and believe animal-assisted presence can support feelings of stability, ease, and humor in therapy.
