About
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” I love this saying. It makes the unreachable seem reachable--if even one small step at a time. As long as you’re making a step--no matter how small--in the right direction, you’re making progress. If you continue long enough, you will see a difference. I use this approach, coupled with solution-focused therapy, in how I work with clients. Together, we’ll make what you want a reality. We’ll take the small step approach (although big steps are fine, too!) and utilize the strengths you already have.
I see children, teens, young adults, women of all ages, and young couples. With children many times I use art, games, and puppets. With older clients I use a solution-focused therapy approach (as mentioned above) with an occasional cognitive-behavioral flavor (gently challenging negative thoughts) or narrative therapy (hearing your “story”).
I look forward to hearing from and starting a new journey with you!
