As a therapist, I believe that authenticity and the therapeutic relationship are invaluable. I believe that therapy will not work if there is not a strong therapeutic alliance. I tend to be a laid back, compassionate clinician who values humor in session, but I am also not afraid to challenge you and be direct. I believe each individual is unique, therefore I do not believe there is one set way to do therapy. I value meeting individuals where they are at and learning about their strengths to help them in session. I work with adults ages 18+.
I specialize in treating substance use disorders, trauma, depression, and anxiety with a trauma-informed approach. I have experience working with clients on medication-assisted treatment or monitored by HPSP. I am passionate about supporting and working with first responders and recognizing the unique challenges they face.
I utilize person-centered, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and interpersonal process theory in session. I enjoy working with individuals from various backgrounds and look forward to the opportunity of collaborating with you.
