I consider myself a late bloomer in life, as a childhood trauma had a hold of me, and I stopped progressing emotionally. About 13 years ago, I began the journey of healing myself, through processing the trauma, and no longer allowing it to control me. Through this journey, I found myself, and finding myself changed my life!

I specialize in men’s issues. I've always felt pushed to be a "lone-wolf" and culture told me to "be a man" or "get over it" when it came to my emotions. As men, when we have a problem we deal with it on our own, often by using pornography, drinking, playing video games, or searching elsewhere for affection. We lie, we defend, we run. We constantly look for peace and acceptance, even if it’s temporary or fake. It can feel hard to trust those closest to us and we may think, “No one is going to take care of my needs but me” or "if they really knew me, they would leave me."

At different points in our lives, we can feel like we're drowning. Anxiety and depression can leave us feeling helpless. We can experience hurt and anger from our relationships that cause us to withdraw. I know what it’s like to experience debilitating sadness, hopelessness, anxiety, relational conflict, grief and trauma and I can help. I have found from evidence based treatments, that how we behave and think, often reflects the story we've chosen to believe for ourselves and others. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Texas. My Master's degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas. I have extensive experience in treating PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, life adjustment issues, Bi-Polar disorder, attachment disorder, and family/relationship related issues.
