Sadie values the safety of the collective and challenging the pathology paradigm. I honor the therapeutic relationship by showing up as a human first and a therapist second. I acknowledge the numerous genocides taking place across the world and practice within an anti-carceral and anti-capitalist approach. I believe that safety and trust are vital to the healing process and that everyone deserves joy and pleasure. I live openly as a kinky, non-binary, neurodivergent, and polyamorous human. I celebrate your unique relationship structure and enjoy challenging cis-heteronormative expectations. I believe we are all capable of healing.

I have a special interest in supporting those who have been in relationship with people who have narcissistic traits.
Confronting what life throws at us can feel overwhelming and I am committed to supporting you without judgement. I received my master’s degree with academic distinction in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in 2023. Before pursuing my mental health passion, I was a professional violinist, and I have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with the pursuit of an intensive career, as well as an appreciation for the amount of pressure and anxiety job performance can create. Working through tendencies like overthinking or perfectionism can both enhance your performance and overall quality of life.

I am currently working with adults ages 18 and up seeking individual or couples therapy.
"Do you see me? Do you hear me? Does what I say mean anything to you?" This is something Oprah Winfrey believes every person wants to know, and I couldn't agree more. I am so glad you're here. Reaching out for support can be hard sometimes. Being vulnerable enough to show up for ourselves and allow another person to witness that is a courageous thing. Whether you're here because someone suggested you try therapy, you've been in therapy for decades or you're somewhere in between, I'm ready to listen. And not only am I here to listen, I'm here to support and challenge you to do that hard thing or even finally face that fear.

I offer individual and couples therapy, both in-person and via telehealth within the State of Tennessee.
Negative stories, relationships, and conflict can leave you feeling you feeling stuck. Stuck in anxiety, depression, fatigue, or a fog that’s difficult to name. These feelings may be the result of years of overwhelming experiences or from a recent event that’s created distress. Whatever it is, together we can work towards healing by exploring stories that no longer serve you, understanding and giving space to the parts of yourself that are conflicted, and by cultivating new ways of navigating though the complexities of life. Therapy provides a unique space to explore all this in safety, in your timing, and with care.

I work with adolescents and adults (individual and couples) from an integrative lens drawing on Psychodynamic, Attachment, Polyvagal, and Person Centered Theories.
I am passionate about the ability therapy has to change lives for the better - how it helps people heal and build authentic, real relationships. I believe in empathy, vulnerability, authenticity, and trying to stay in the present moment. I am both creative and analytical and am excited when therapy is referred to as "a science and an art.” I believe in exploring the mind-body connection, especially the impact of breathwork in dealing with anxiety and stress. I love the power of understanding ourselves and how our minds work to create change. I work particularly well with anxiety, perfectionism & religious injury to name a few.

Hello everyone! Thanks for taking time to read my profile. I help disconnected couples, restless entrepreneurs, and individuals stifled by anxiety and depression. When I entered this profession, I realized that everyone on the planet needs a safe place to go where they can be completely themselves...and say anything they care to say. At times we need to chat with someone who's not part of our family or friend circles, someone with the training and skills to navigate confusing thoughts, emotions, relationships, careers, and matters of faith.

I believe that some of the most sustainable human growth occurs via relationship. This is why I believe in the power of Psychotherapy: it can be a unique opportunity for healing, a process in which -- through genuine connection and honest feedback, we can begin to make sense of the way we have come to view ourselves, our relationships, our sense of spirituality and interconnection, and the world around us. Through our work together, my clients can begin to gain the tools needed in order to change that which they can control, but also genuinely accept that which they cannot.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
