Many people, particularly men, are socialized to ignore or never discuss their innermost feelings and worries. College students often struggle with questions about whom they are and whom they want to become. Parents often feel powerless to help their children. I am a LCSW with 6+ years of experience working with both adolescents and adults. I received a BA from UNO and my MSW from Tulane in 2009. I have inpatient and outpatient experience with adults who have suffered from mood and personality disorders; and with adolescents with self esteem issues and poor coping skills. I specialize specifically in treating depression and anxiety disorders in both adolescents and adults. I am also a trained doula/birth specialist and offer therapy to women who are seeking support in pre/postpartum phases.

Mr. King is a Licensed Professional Counselor. It is his belief that the relationship between the client and counselor is critical and that growth and healing is a result of this relationship. I commonly utilize breathe work and other non traditional techniques into therapy. I allow the client to guide the session and their own work, but do not hold back observations about client's thought patterns and potential for growth. I treat all clients with unconditional positive regard and allow them to adapt within their own limits and social dynamics. Clients should always feel as though they have learned skills relevant to daily life.

I have 30 years experience working with ages 18 and older. I believe in the wholistic approach, working with an individual's mind, body, and spirit.
