I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD and adjustment disorders. There are many contributing factors to why a person experiences anxiety and a variety of approaches to managing it, and for some extinguishing the anxiety altogether. Worry can cause functional impairment in only one or all domains of life. Anxiety often leads to symptoms of depression, and it is not uncommon for a person to feel symptoms of both at any given time.

Examples include combat veterans, molest and assault survivors, accident victims and those who have experienced domestic abuse. Such clients often have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with symptoms such as anxiety, depression, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, difficulty trusting and problematic relationships. I also work with people who have fears, such as a fear of flying, of public speaking, of going over bridges, or of going up in tall buildings.
