I truly believe counseling is helping people to help themselves. I provide support and useful tools to assist clients in attaining their goals of personal growth and symptom relief. I enjoy working with clients from high school graduates to age 70. My primary focus of interest is working with clients who are motivated to seek short term therapy to improve their quality of life. My areas of expertise include: trauma, sexual assault, life transitions, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, grief, sexual identity, eating and body image issues.
My primary speciality is being an EMDRIA Certified Therapist in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy), and being a certified as a Havening Techniques practitioner. I also provide a combination of Cognitive, Problem Solving, Psychodynamic and Insight Oriented counseling basing the type of therapy used on the client's individual needs.
I have personally found EMDR to be a life changing experience in my life and have thoroughly enjoyed helping others to find a new level of freedom in their lives as well.
