I am very direct and interactive with people and love to help people get to the root of their issues and resolve them. It is brave and hard work for people but I will walk that road with you.

My areas of expertise come from formal training and hours of working through the top complaints of people in distressed relationships. Concerns expressed often include: we don't communicate, I feel like roommates, he doesn't talk, she thinks I can read her mind, sex is almost obsolete, whatever I do is never good enough, we aren't on the same page with parenting, I get no help around the house, I feel like a single parent, texting and social media emotional affairs and/or physical affairs have taken place".

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. My practice encompasses individual, couples, and family therapy. I use the Family Systems Theory approach emphasizing interpersonal communication, role structure, and Bowenian Theory. Areas of expertise include the following: marital and premarital relationships; adolescent problems; geriatric and grand-parenting issues; and work/career related challenges.

I strive to provide a safe space for all clients to explore the issues bringing them to therapy and what underlies those issues. As a multicultural/relational therapist identities that are important to you provide a background for therapy (race, religion, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, political affiliations, gender identity, gender, sex, ableness, etc.) as those identities make up who you are. Relationships and how you relate with others are also important. I treat anxiety, depression, grief/loss, phases of life issues, family issues, women's issues and men's issues. I am also a sex and gender specialist.

When you are hurting you need someone to talk to who will help you figure out what to do. There are always changes we can make to be less miserable. I particularly enjoy working with couples having marital problems, with teenagers, and with people dealing with grief and loss.
