I am an LMFT with over 30 years experience working with couples and individuals ages 12 and up addressing a wide range of issues. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, work challenges, grief and loss, addiction, aging, transitions, managing stress and relationship issues. I love what I do and feel privileged to do this important work. I create a safe place for people to address their concerns, fears and life changes that affect us all.

I have over 30 years of experience in working with individuals, couples, and families (children, adolescents and adults). I have also provided counseling and education to healthcare professionals, legal professionals, athletes, educational organizations, workplace environments, and community groups.

My approach to therapy is very relational and I believe that through the therapeutic relationship, one can begin to heal old wounds. I am trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), which helps in processing and changing the way one thinks of themselves in the face of traumatic events.

Erin Meyer MS, NCC, LPC-MH, LAC and QMHP provides mental health and chemical dependency counseling services to individuals, couples and families. Erin focuses on providing high-quality counseling services in Sioux Falls, SD and the surrounding area in counseling children, adolescents and adults with a variety of issues. She uses a multitude of interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in a positive, solution-focused fashion to help learn to solve their problems. I am also trained in EMDR and am certified in Postpartum mental health.

I feel fortunate to have the experiences that I have had in working with a diverse group of individuals with various stories. I am able to build rapport quickly, making the client feel comfortable, and can assist in guiding the client in meeting their goals. I bring a unique experience as I look at the whole person to explore what all is, or has impacted them. We don't focus on disease management but strive to focus on overall wellness-mind, body, and soul.
